| Hanmer Camp 2019
The
Australasian Summer Camp in Hanmer Springs is on Saturday 9th March 2019 and Sunday 10th March 2019. We are expecting
Frazer Sensei, the head of Yoshukai Karate Australasia and other
Black Belts from around New Zealand and Australia. This year we are staying and training back in Hanmer Springs at the Hanmer Springs Forest Camp - 243 Jollies Pass Rd, Hanmer Springs 7334. Please contact me if you wish to arrange accommodation (029 238 5999). Children can attend a single day on Saturday only or can attend both Saturday and Sunday. This is a time when Yoshukai karateka from around New Zealand and Australia get together to train and learn. As usual we hope that as many of you as possible will come. Children and Adults are invited from 10:00 am on Saturday at the Hanmer Springs Forest Camp Rec Centre and can train for the day or stay overnight in Hanmer Springs and train on Sunday morning as well. The children have the option to go to the hot pools on Saturday afternoon with parental transport and supervision. During Saturday evening we will have a group dinner, games and hopefully go-karting. This is a great evening for children that are able to stay the night or who can return home later in the evening. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver at the pools and if staying overnight at the Camp.
We have accommodation booked at the Hanmer Springs Forest Camp from 8th of March 2019, checking out on the 10th of March 2019 (2 nights). You can choose to stay one or two nights and there are a variety of options available. Accommodation options are $28 per adult per night and $12 per child 5 yrs to 15 yrs per night (under 5's free). The rooms sleep between 4 and 6 people and are great for families or shared accommodation. There is a minimum charge per room per night of $56. Linen can be hired for $8 per bed. An email will be sent out with the Camp Fee (students only), the Test Fee (for those students invited to Test) and for optional meals.
We usually go out for a meal or have takeaways and visit the pools at least once (at your own cost). Remember to bring your Yoshukai passport.
